OYAIDE PA-02

The Oyaide PA-02 is a great cable that is better than a lot of other high end cables on the market. This cable has produced great results with XLR and RCA termination.

PCOCC-A
This is an ultra pure single crystal copper originally developed by Professor Ohno. It was then further evolved into PCOCC utilizing a single copper grain wire. This design results in an extremely low level of signal disturbance and loss factor due to the lack of crystalline borders in the signal path.
Oyaide has further evolved this technology with a highly controlled heating and cooling process and improved surface quality. It is now called PCOCC-A and it is the epitome of Japanese craftsmanship.

STRUCTURE / INSULATOR
The structure of PA-02 is that of a traditional balanced cable ( shielded and two insulated wires) . The impedance of the cable is 120
and can be used for both analogue and digital (AES/EBU) signal. The outer shield uses the same PCOCC-A as the conductors.
Foamed polypropylene was chosen as the insulator because of its low dielectric constants .
OUTER
The halogen-free sheath conforms to the RoHS directives. It enables pure signal transmission with high vibration attenuation characteristics.
The performance of PCOCC-A and the newly developed Halogen-free sheath is beyond many other entry model cables.

ACROSS 750 Vs. PA-02 Cable
Both cables a very good and Oyaide has produced 2 cables that are better than many cables at the same price. The ACROSS 750 is a smoother sounding cable compared to the PA-02. Both have incredible detail and mid-range. For single ended connection we highly recommend the ACROSS 750.

OYAIDE ACROSS 750

The Across 750 cable emerged as a result of growing customer demand for an interconnect cable that would match the performance of the ACROSS 2000 speaker cable. Oyaide have employed the same concepts used in our ACROSS 2000 speaker cable - C.I.S. (Cross insulated stabilizer) construction, halogen free sheath and PCOCC-A conductors. Modifying the overall design to yield a new type of interconnect cable, the Across 750, a cable that can take you new, unexplored heights of performance.
The cable architecture is C.I.S (Cross insulated stabilizer), which was created to diffuse vibrations into the air chamber rather than being re-absorbed into the cable structure. This newly developed structure enhances not only vibration damping but also electrical properties. Spiral shielding is employed for infilling of internal space as well as the conductor and its halogen-free sheath was specifically developed for audio use.
PCOCC-A
PCOCC copper is a material that includes very few impurities and insures very low levels of signal disturbance. Because of its low incidence of grain boundaries, the signal passes without impediment or distortion. Heating and cooling the PCOCC wire under controlled circumstances yields a densely re-crystallized, highly pure structure called a μ conductor. The resulting product with a mirror finish applied is called PCOCC-A copper. This highly advanced product is made possible by the combined application of high technology and traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
MULTI-STRANDED WIRE STRUCTURE
The core component of ACROSS 750 is PCOCC-A. The Multi-stranded wire structure reflects Oyaides’ solid design concept. For the infilling of internal space and preventing deformation among the wires a triple-layered inverted concentric structure is employed for maximum density and uniformity of wire. PCOCC-A is also used for the spiral shield.

INSULATOR AND SHEATH
The ACROSS 750 uses halogen-free sheath developed specifically for audio applications. It is RoHS compliant and has excellent vibration damping property due to its compounding ratio of materials. The insulator is made from polyolefin which has quarter of permittivity compared to common PVC.

For the last 3 years we have been searching for a cable under $5.00 that will perform like a cable at $50. WE FOUND IT!!! DIY audio Store now stocks the Mogami 2893 cable- At a great bargain price of $4.25 per metre this cable. Not as good as the Oyaide PA-02 but then again it doesn't cost $35 per metre.

Conductor insulation is XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) which has excellent electrical characteristics and prevents shrink-back during soldering.
