Speaker cable must accommodate relatively high signal levels, typically tens to hundreds of watts of RMS power. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) can radiate from these speaker lines directly into adjacent low voltage cables (i.e. microphone, video lines, etc.). Canare solves this problem by using a 4-conductor “Star Quad” configuration in all their 4S-Series speaker cables. Because every conductor is located the same distance from the center, the opposing magnetic fields are cancelled out. Attenuation of magnetic field radiation is superior when compared to a standard 2-conductor speaker wire.
The Canare 4S11 Star Quad speaker cable compares very well if not better than many other expensive cables on the market.

TUNAMI (NIGO)

TUNAMI NIGO cable is constructed using PCOCC-A wire developed by Furukawa Electric using advanced heat control and extrusion technology. TUNAMI NIGO is a multi- purpose cable that can used a speaker or power cable. The outer sheath color is ceramic white and matches to the interior design.
The cable utilizes a 5.5 sq mm Conductor that transmits the signal without the loss to 16m(reference value). It is rated up to 30 amps and can take up to 600 volts A/C. This makes it a leader in its class delivering a powerful sound. In addition it has a unique 3 layer shielding system that not only to shuts out external noise but also to suppresses internal noise resulting in a very low noise floor.
PCOCC-A
This is an ultra pure single crystal copper originally developed by Professor Ohno. It was then further evolved into PCOCC utilizing a single copper grain wire. This design results in an extremely low level of signal disturbance and loss factor due to the lack of crystalline borders in the signal path.
Oyaide has further evolved this technology with a highly controlled heating and cooling process and improved surface quality. It is now called PCOCC-A and it is the epitome of Japanese craftsmanship.
3-LAYER SHIELDING
The speaker and power cable transmits signal at a high level and electromagnetic interference sometimes enter the audio. Three-layer shielding of TUNAMI cables shut out external and internal generated noise.
The first layer absorbs the disorders of electro magnetic field formation; the second carbon layer is used to absorb the random movement of electrons from current fluctuation stored in insulating materials and the final third copper foil layer with a drain wire to protect from external noise sources. The Drain wire is then connected to the "ground" for perfect shielding.
INSULATOR
It is the philosophy of Oyaide to try every possibility until they achieve the best harmony of materials to use. Oyaide Engineers researched various hardness / density of insulation materials to determine the most ideal resonance control ability. The result was to use varying grades of high polymer polyolefin in the internal structure for the maximum effect. A method to apply the insulation onto conductors was then developed with higher tension for a more consistent and secure fitting.
