Please read the guide to making Interconnects for instructions on how to insert wire into cotton tubing/insulation

Parts required:

Cotton insulation/tubing

Wire

Light coloured Heat shrink (3 mm)

Fine permanent marker

-When measuring and cutting wire and cotton take into consideration that braiding will shorten the overall length of the cable - Add 1 cm for every 10 cm of wire. Make sure all wires are the same length.

-Gently bend the ends of the wire only so it cannot retract back into the cotton.

-Make sure all the wires are clearly marked at both ends- cut 1 cm length of Heat shrink, put an identifiable mark on it (e.g. 'LP' or 'RN') and heat shrink it to the ends of the cables.

-If attempting to braid wire over 1 metre a large flat surface would be the best option (the floor or long work bench).

-Do not braid the wires too tight keep it loose.

When braiding more than 4 wires together, the right outer conductor gets laid over the inner right conductors- do the same for the left conductors.
