Not as good as cotton but more durable and protects the wire from moisture. The teflon tubing suits the 26-35ga. silver and copper wire found on this site. Great for insulating capacitor leads.

Many DIY'ers make audio cables with teflon / PTFE tubing larger than the wire - This way the insulation has minimal contact with the wire.

18ga. (1.05mm) - fits wire that is 1mm or smaller
22ga. (0.65mm) - fits wire that is 0.65mm or smaller
